World Cup 2010 Auction: Final Week to Enter!

Published on June 8, 2010

FINAL WEEK, GUYS!! Get your bids in and keep building the pot. The more that goes in, the more that comes out! If you have any questions, please feel free to call/email me for an immediate update on current amounts.

The pot is now up to 3,030 RMB! Everyone can still keep bidding for the above teams in 10 or 50 RMB lots. Surprisingly, no one has bid on teams like Switzerland, Paraguay, Uruguay, Slovakia and a few real outsiders like Honduras, New Zealand and Greece. Some of the big favorites -- Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Argentina, to name a few -- are still quite cheap. And of course there are the middle of the pack teams as well.

This is the last week before the big competition starts. Get your bids in now, lads, before it's too late! Anyway, here’s the current bidding:

NEW World Cup 2010 Competition: Golden Boot!

Published on June 1, 2010

world-cup-2010-golden-boot-trophyThe Beijing Barbarians Football Club are pleased to announce a NEW competition open to club members only:

We're playing for the Golden Boot, the most coveted prize after the cup itself. Who will it be?? Will it be Rooooooknneeeee, Messy, Droggers, perhaps or one of the new guys like little Chicharitoe...anyway, you are the expert so you tell me! :)

Entry is 100 RMB for one World Cup player...all the money will put into the pot and then divided equally among everyone who "bought" the winning player.

(Here's an example for those mathematically challenged Barbars: If 20 people play in this competition, the pot will have 2,000 RMB. If Wayne Rooney is the ACTUAL golden boot winner, and 10 of those people chose Wayne Rooney, then they will each get 200rmb. Got it? Easy, really....)

As usual, please contact me directly via email or text to register your player. I will keep the records and update you as often as possible.
