Seasons on Hold for the Holidays; Friendly Game Arranged

Published on January 4, 2007

Well, with both the IFFC and ClubFootball competitions drawn to a close, all eyes will have turned to the friendly match that has been set up for December 16. This match will also give the As and Bs the chance to get together and have a kick-about. Emails will be going out for this one later this week.

On Saturday, December 9, we hope to see you all the Barbarians Barbaric Christmas Bash 2006. Having had the honour of being an official taster of the delights on offer, I can safely say it should be a good evening to be had by all. Anyone with any ideas for fun games we can play following dinner, feel free to let me know. One such game could include "Challenge Dave" - whereby those brave enough have to challenge Dave to a half yard drinking contest to see if you can beat his time (Yeah, good luck!).

I would also like to wish Jason over at Forbidden City headquarters all the best for his wedding, which is coming in late December. His stag do last weekend was a great day out, though I suppose a great day is inevitable when you start boat races at 11:00 in the morning, downing cans of beer while trying to play football.

Finally, please make sure you stay up-to-date on stuff that is going on, as the Indoor League should be starting after the New Year. Also, for those that are leaving Beijing, I wish you all the best for the future!

Merry Christmas, Ya'll!
