Founded in 2003 by ClubFootball and its members, the Barbarians were created with the same fresh mix of talent that made the infamous rugby team of the same name so inspiring. As the "United Nations of Football" in Beijing, the Barbarians have been going from strength to strength since our formation:
Having competed in the ClubFootball League during their inaugural season, the Barbarians moved to the IFFC League in 2004. In their first season with the IFFC the team won the Division 3 Championship without losing a single game. In 2005 the Barbarian B team was created following a successful summer of expansion. Currently our A team plays in the IFFC's Premiere League, and our B team plays in the IFFC's First Division.
In the ClubFootball 5-a-side League, our teams are regulars in the top divisions. Currently the A team plays in Division 2, and the B team plays in Division 3.
In 2007, the team also expanded into new sports with the Barbarians Darts team, who play in the Beijing International Darts League. Our team who would be a shoe-in for every game if only they didn’t enjoy drinking the night away so much!
The Club enjoys a very fruitful sponsorship deal with the 'BY THE TREE'. Both the Club and 'By the Tree' are looking towards a bright future together as the 2010-11 season gets underway.

Welcome to the Beijing Barbarians recruitment page. If you are looking for information on how to become part of a fun, yet competitive football club/community in Beijing then this is for you.
Teams: We have two 11-a-side teams and three 5-a-side teams here at the Barbarians, so I'm sure we can find you a team from those. The two 11-a-side teams train every Thursday night from 8-10pm at Si De Park, and we play our games on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, anytime from 12-4pm, at the same location. Our two teams play in the IFFC's Premiere League and First Division respectively. The 5-a-side teams also play on a Thursday night, the times can change. We take part in ClubFootball's 5-a-side tournaments that start every couple of months.
We also have a darts team here at the Barbarians which also play every Thursday night. Please let us know if you are interested and we can get you involved. Please note that drinking during matches is closely monitored--too little and you're out the door!
Fees: There is a 300rmb fee to register for the Barbarians Club which includes all registration for the ClubFootball and IFFC leagues.
