Kozo Japan 3 Barbarians 3 - Match Report 28.05.2011

Kozo Japan causes major meltdown in Barbarian defense as Japanese offensive tsunami sweeps in to score two late goals for 3-3 end result.

On Saturday 28th of May, at Lido park the Beijing Barbarians were scheduled to play Kozo Japan, with a victory for the Barbarians meaning an improvement of one position in the league table. Incidentally, this was also going to be star-player Dary Stone's last game for the team, after a blistering season with 'ueber'- dimensional performances throughout (13Games/10Goals). This game also saw the return of Captain Mo and French Tim back in the lineup who had been out due to injury.

The game started out well for the Barbars, when after a few minutes Henri managed to finish off a quality move with a crisp shot past the keeper to put the team into the lead.

Barbarians beat Vikings 3-2 - Match Report - 14.05.2011
on a windy Saturday afternoon, the barbarians were playing the Vikings. Both sides needed points in order to get back on track.

The game started quit slowly until Dary stone, who played alone upfront for the barbars, raced up the other end to give the visitors the lead.

After half an hour, Dary was about to get off the pitch as his ankle injury started to become unbearable, when he delivered a magnificent free kick in the box for Alex d'Orangeville. Alex's shot found the Viking's keeper on its way, but Keith Bradbury smashed the ball in the net right away.

Barbarians Stroll past the Peking Strollers 4-0 - Match Report 27.03.2011

Gameweek 12 of the IFFC Championship took place on Sunday March 27, 2011. The game was originaly planned to be played late February but was cancelled due to the snow. A week after the 2-0 loss against Afrika United, the Barbars were craving some points! Before the game, the Strollers were 5 points above the Barbarians and knew that victory was the only acceptable outcome.

The Barbars lined up as they did in their last two games. Carlos "Magic Hands" Muniz started as goalkeeper, and as usual he did a great job imposing himself in the air and giving his defense confidence. "Kaiser" Keith started as sweeper, doing what he does the best, playing football and arguing with the ref. Dave Carini and "Super Daddy" Phil were right and left fullbacks respectively , and Thomas "Caesar" Santoni started as central defender.

Barbarians battle to the end in close encounter with Afrika 0-2 Match Report 19.03.2011

Week 15 in the IFFC Premier League was played on Saturday, March 17, 2011 at the Si'De Park stadium. Afrika United were the visiting team, as the eighth-placed Beijing Barbarians were looking to rebound from the previous week's unlucky loss.

This was never going to be an easy task, as Afrika United have been the IFFC's most dominant team over past decade (winning 5 out of the last 7 league titles), inevitably drawing comparisons with the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Manchester United. And while most teams would consider a single-digit loss to Afrika an acceptable result, the Barbarians were in no such mood and wanted to add to their 17 points in the league.
